"Clearly it's more important to Governor Brown that 5-year-olds must find solutions for race issues"

SANDY, OR—Today Mayor Stan Pulliam issued the following statement:

Despite repeated claims from politicians that Critical Race Theory doesn't exist in schools, the Oregon Department of Education will mandate by 2026 that curriculum for kindergartners require them to 'identify possible solutions to injustices' on race issues. "While the Secretary of State has found yet again that Oregon's largest school district is failing after repeated warnings to increase educational standards for underprivileged and minority students, state bureaucrats have resorted once again to a useless mandate on our kids," said Pulliam. "Clearly it's more important to Governor Brown that 5-year-olds must find solutions for race issues than for her to actually help minority kids."

Stan Pulliam is the two term, nonpartisan Mayor of Sandy.

He is running for governor in the 2022 election.
