PRESS RELEASE Mayor Stan Issues Plan to Lock Up Antifa
SANDY—Today, Sunday May 1st, Sandy Mayor Stan Pulliam issued the following statement:
"Yesterday a group of Oregonians attempted what used to be protected free speech—showing up to a peaceful campaign rally in Portland," said Mayor Stan. "The fact that this was not possible is a sign of the slow decay that has taken hold of our state and once beautiful city of Portland." "For the past year, I have been talking about the need for real leadership to end the violence on our streets. Today I am issuing my plan to end Antifa's control of Portland for good." A Pulliam Administration will:
Triple the size of the State Police, restoring them to their former strength.
Deputize a portion of the State Police as U.S. marshals in order to charge Antifa and other violent criminals with a federal crime.
Deploy the National Guard to stop riots.
Use every resource available to identify the individuals who have been terrorizing Portland on a regular basis and bring them to justice.
Defund Antifa by stopping all state public and rental assistance to anyone convicted of rioting on the streets.
Launch investigations into public servants who have been covering up for and ignoring the violence, including Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt.
"The days of Antifa ruling the streets of Portland are about to end," concluded Pulliam.
Stan Pulliam is the two term, nonpartisan Mayor of Sandy.
He is running for governor in the 2022 election.
