Mayor Stan's Statement on Margaret Salazar's Appointment to the Biden Administration
SANDY, OR — Today it was announced that disgraced Oregon Housing and Community Services Director Margaret Salazar will accept an appointment to the Biden Administration to serve as the regional administrator for Housing and Urban Development for four states.
“This is the status quo of how things are done with entrenched bureaucrats in Oregon,” said Stan Pulliam. "After months of Oregonians calling for her resignation for absolute incompetence in distributing federal rental assistance to Oregonians in need – The head of OHCS has failed upwards and now works with the Biden administration.”
Stan Pulliam has long pointed out the persistent problem that agency head appointments as political favors have made our state a national laughingstock of technology implementations from OWIN, the DMV, Cover Oregon, and now the rental assistance program, to name just a few.
“As your next governor, all state agency heads will be re-applying for their jobs next January. And they will be competing with potential appointees from the private sector with track records of success, not political connections,” said Pulliam.
Stan Pulliam is the two term, nonpartisan Mayor of Sandy.
He is running for governor in the 2022 election.
