Mayor Stan: "This is a proud moment in the American justice system."
Sandy, OR — Today Mayor of Sandy and candidate for governor Stan Pulliam issued the following statement in response to the jury verdict in Kenosha, WI finding Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty:
"This is a proud moment in the American justice system. A jury of Kyle Rittenhouse’s peers found him not guilty on all charges. Make no mistake, it wasn’t just Rittenhouse on trial, it was each and every one of us and our right to protect ourselves.
"The fact this was even prosecuted is a sad reflection of the weaponization of our justice system by the far left. The verdict demonstrates that even with this misuse of power, our founding fathers got it right, and provided shelter for Kyle’s lawful actions more than two centuries ago.
"This is a great day for America, and hopefully a turning point in returning our cities and streets to respecting the rule of law. God bless our founding fathers for their foresight and wisdom, and God bless America!"
